Remember that time you accidentally made out with that person at the party and your (soon-to-be) ex came to your house and trashed your room? What about the time when you got so drunk that you spent 30 minutes pouring your heart out to a crush on Facebook and didn’t remember? To most of us those are embarrassing moments that we hope to soon forget, but they are real and what makes life fun, and GOODBYE COASTLINE isn’t afraid to bring up these and other party mishaps! GOODBYE COASTLINE formed as a band in early 2009. They released their first single "Mister Disaster" on April 1st 2010; they entered the Ernie Ball Battle of Bands and as one of more than 17,000 bands, by August 1st of that same year they won a spot to play at the Vans’ Warped Tour. In the past year they sure have made quite the impact on the music scene. They’re gaining incredible momentum with incessant, solid live performances, a strong online presence, and sold out headlining shows. Their songwriting abilities have played a large part in their newborn success. Musically, the songs have incredible energy and their edgy “story-telling” lyrics give fans what they typically don’t hear in today’s mainstream rock. Combined with their “choruses that leave no question on whether they are sing along-able or not“ (rockfreaks.net) and you’re left with an explosive recipe for rock. “Working with Jordan Schmidt (Motion City Soundtrack, All Time Low, etc.) was an incredible experience. We wanted each song to sound organic and REAL. Jordan helped us harness our natural raw talent and showcase it in our first five song EP, ‘Listen Responsibly,’” says front man Jerry McFly. GOODBYE COASTLINE has been a featured artist on Metromix.com and has racked up tens of thousands of spins across Internet radio stations (last.fm, Jango, etc.) and their social media sites (Myspace, Facebook, etc.). They have had graced the pages of numerous publications including The Chicago Redeye(Tribune), and Stitched Soun
